

The film begins with a box containing a baby boy floating in river Ganga, rescued by charioteer Adhiratha (Chalapathi Rao), he adopts him and names him as Karna. The story is based on the life of Karna from the Mahabharata. But, she learns about a curse, which would bring about the premature death of her son, Rajan, a psychiatrist by profession. She prays to the Goddess to give her a peaceful life. The story revolves round the life of Lakshmiamma, an ardent devotee of Goddess Raja Rajeshwari. Raja Rajeswari portrays how one can win over destiny with the grace of God and how good triumphs over evil. The story shows the fights, the confusion and the sacrifices the sisters make for each other and their love for that one boy. The tale twists when both the sisters fall in love with the same boy.
